Ikeja Legislative Council Passes New Environmental Sanitation Bill

The Ikeja Local Government Legislative Council has unanimously passed the Environmental Sanitation Bill 2024, which introduces stricter regulations for waste management and environmental cleanliness. Council Chairman Hon. Mojeed Balogun stated that the bill is part of the government's commitment to making Ikeja a model for urban cleanliness in Lagos State. The legislation also includes provisions for community clean-up initiatives and public awareness campaigns.
